My Favorite Hot Chocolate Float Recipe

The ultimate comfort food on a cold day. It is always a pick-me-up on a cold day. You can substitute the ice-cream with marshmallows or whip-cream in this recipe, but it not going to be a true float unless you add an amazing scoop of ice-cream.

There is nothing like drinking a hot cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter night. When ever me and my family get together for the holidays, hot chocolate is one our beverage menu.

What is the difference between hot coco and hot chocolate?

Thanks for the recipe you gave. We will have to try it out one day.

When making chocolate the coco bean is separated into cocoa butter and cocoa powder. Chocolate is the cocoa butter part of the process which lot of sugar added and other stuff to make it taste great. Thank fgor reading my post. 🙂

One of my favorite drinks is hot chocolate. So I was very interested to read this recipe. Thank you for the clear list of ingredients and instructions.

I will have to try making this. I did wonder though if you I could use something different to vanilla ice cream. Do you think that I should experiment with this recipe?

Sounds delicious! I have to admit I never make “real” hot chocolate, I always resort to cocoa powder or Cadbury drinking chocolate but I didn’t realise it’s so simple to make. I am partial to marshmallows on top and am a bit confused as to what is the point of a hot chocolate with ice cream? Doesn’t it just cool it down too much???

What’s not the point. Its amazing! Also it is a hot chocolate float. The ice-cream is the float part. You can experiment with it and find something that work for you and tell me about it here in the comments section. 🙂
