HOW TO COLD BREW COFFEE WITH A FRENCH PRESS
I consume a moderate amounts of coffee, with most of the coffee I drink is cold. This doesn’t mean brew a pot of coffee and put some ice in it no, to me, coffee that’s going to be served cold needs to be brewed specifically for that occasion. This cold brew coffee calls for a coffee grinder and a French press with a pinch of salt to make it just right.
1 cupTHRIVE MARKET coarse-ground coffee
2 cups boiling water
Pinch of kosher salt
2 cups cold water
I looked up some good coffee grinders and french press items. I found that the Electric Spice and Coffee Grinder is the cheapest one to get and have a good quality item. Its priced at $19.99 well off its
$34.99 list price. And for the french press, I found Cafe Du Chateau French Press to be the best item for the job. It is priced at $14.95 well off its list price of $49.99. I also like this because it looks very modem and stylish and can be a good focal point in a kitchen.
Add the coffee grounds to the Electric Spice and Coffee Grinder.
Grind until all the coffee grounds are grinned up .
Place the coffee grounds into the Cafe Du Chateau French Press then add hot water.
Cover loosely for 3 minutes so the hot water can do its thing.
Remove the lid and add salt and cold water
Tightly fix the lid and store in the refrigerator for 6-12 hours depending on when you want to drink it.
Press the plunger on the French press down.
Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
